Weekend with the World Champions

Oxford Tango Academy welcomes Cynthia Palacios and Sebastián Bolívar, aka the most recent TANGO WORLD CHAMPIONS!

It is a weekend you will definitely not want to miss.

PROGRAMME:

---> SATURDAY 1ST JULY: El Arrabal Milonga!

- 8pm - 9pm: Masterclass with Cynthia and Sebastian: Theme: Embrace & Walk (what does it mean to walk in tango?, points of contact, organic mechanism and embrace with and without distance)

- 9pm - 1am: Milonga El Arrabal with PERFORMANCE by the Maestros (DJ Dante)

PRICES:

Pre Milonga class only £15 pp (£12 student) Milonga only £15pp (£12 student) Class and Milonga £25pp (£20 student) Pay at the door! (cash/card)

Free hot drinks, homemade cake and wine - you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

St Columba's United Reformed Church, Alfred St, Oxford OX1 4EH Parking is free on the High Street from 6:30 on a single yellow line. There is paid parking in the streets around the venue for a reduced fee after 6:30 pm.

- 3pm to 4pm Workshop I: Topic: Giro: structure, dynamics and coils.

- 4:15pm to 5:15m Workshop II: Topic: Studying different types of Boleos (circular and linear, lead and response)

PRICES: £20 per person per workshop or £30 if taking both workshops (£17/£25 student prices)

About Sebastian and Cynthia:

Cynthia Palacios and Sebastián Bolívar are dancers and teachers of Argentine Tango who joined as a dance couple in 2019. With the guidance of important and renowned teachers, they studied many years to unite traditional and modern concepts, achieving their current dance . They take their dance to various countries exhibiting and teaching classes in important schools and events in South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. They are currently 2022 Tango Pista World Champions and their main objective is to spread the culture of Argentine Tango wherever they are in the world.
