I think this has been one of the best holidays I had so far. I had everything I was dreaming of, tango, milongas in Buenos Aires, horse-riding with gauchos, the best "asados" and the most wonderful people to share all this with. Dante and Lilie have been absolutely amazing, making sure we could have an insight "real" experience of the true Argentinian life! The whole experience has been fantastic. The north of Argentina is a real gem; and I was thankful we went during this time too, when it wasn't too touristic. Lilie and Dante have looked after us as if we were family. They have always been by our side, always so kind and helpful; I can truly recommend them. What's included?

Horse riding

The trip includes a full day of horse riding in the beautiful mountains of Jujuy. This is optional: you can also stay and enjoy the hotel and its beautiful surroundings (we do require prior notice if you choose this option). There will be one guide and a helper to make our journey in the mountains safer. We have an incredible itinerary planned for you, with lunch provided. No horse-riding experience is required: our guides are there to give you full instruction and to help you for the duration of the journey. This is a truly unique experience at an extremely affordable price!

Accommodation

For the first two nights, you will stay in a private ensuite room in Hotel Termas de Reyes - a famous, luxury hotel nestled in the mountains. Away from the city, surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place to relax, disconnect and unwind. Enjoy the hotel's natural thermal baths, and treat yourself to a massage (not included). Breakfast is included.

Night 3 will be spent in a private ensuite room in hotel in the gorgeous rural village of Tilcara, and night 4 in a private ensuite room in San Salvador de Jujuy city centre.

Visit the Quebrada

The famous Quebrada de Humahuaca was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2023. We will take you to the most remarkable sites, including the "Salinas Grandes" (a huge lake made of salt!), the spectacular "Hornocal" (or the mountain of fourteen colours), and the "Pucará de Tilcara" (an ancient archeological Incan village). You will stay in a hotel in the pretty village of Tilcara, where you can enjoy delicious local food made of corn, vegetables and meat, as well as walk around markets selling stunning handmade clothes, gifts and jewellery.

Transport

All transport within Jujuy is taken care of and included in the price of the tour. You will be picked up at Jujuy airport and we will drive you around during the trip. Transport back to the airport is also included.

You will need to purchase your own flight tickets to and from Jujuy airport. You might be travelling from Buenos Aires, in which case we will send you details of the suggested flights to buy once they have been released by the airline. You can buy them through us at a discounted rate.

Itinerary

You will be greeted at Jujuy airport and taken to a beautiful luxury hotel in the mountains called Termas de Reyes, which offers natural thermal baths and a spa.

There will be a horse riding introduction session in the afternoon, and in the evening we will visit the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, eat delicious Andean food, and enjoy time relaxing in the hot thermal waters at the hotel.

Day 2 is a full day of horse riding! We have an incredible itinerary planned for you, with lunch provided. No horse-riding experience is required: our guides are there to give you full instruction and to help you for the duration of the journey. This is a truly unique experience at an extremely affordable price!

In the evening we will ride back to the hotel for a well deserved dinner, hot bath and a good sleep.

Should you decide not to take part in the horse riding excursion (this should be indicated in the booking form), you will stay at the hotel where you can enjoy the pool, walks in the mountain, and the many different spa treatments and facilities the hotel has to offer.

On day 3, we will leave the hotel and head to the famous Quebrada de Humahuaca, a Unesco world heritage site. The scenery is simply breathtaking: a must-see in South America! We will drive to Salinas Grandes (the salt lake), visit some local villages and walk around the 7 colour mountain! We will spend the night in a hotel in Tilcara.

We will continue our adventures in the Quebrada on day 4, before returning to San Salvador de Jujuy where we will sleep in a hotel in the city centre, ready to leave the next day.
